Generic Sales Training Wasn't Built for Arborists.
ArboTHRIVE! is different. Every module, every scenario, every script is built around tree care — because that's the only way any of it is actually useful.
Most sales training assumes you're selling a product with a fixed price to someone who already knows what they need.
Tree care is none of those things.
You diagnose problems your clients can't see. You price jobs no one has a reference point for. You compete against lowballers who don't carry insurance. And you're expected to close on a residential front lawn in under an hour.
No sales script written for software, insurance, or retail is going to help you do that.
The 3 Objections Every Arborist Faces
And exactly what to say when you hear them — a free guide
You know your trees. The hard part is the ten seconds after you name the price — when the client hesitates, pushes back, or says they'll "think about it."
This free guide gives you the three objections you hear most, what's really going on behind each one, and the exact words to say instead of scrambling. Enter your email and I'll send it straight over.
Your Team Already Has the Knowledge.
Give Them the Sales Skills to Match.
Not Motivational Advice. Proven Sales Science.
Every technique in this program is adapted from frameworks with documented track records in complex, consultative selling — then translated specifically for tree care.
The program draws on SPIN Selling by Neil Rackham — the research-backed method for selling where the product requires diagnosis, adapted here as the structure for the arborist's diagnostic walkthrough.
It draws on The Challenger Sale by Dixon and Adamson — the finding that elite salespeople teach clients something they didn't know, applied to the arborist's ability to see problems clients cannot see.
And it applies trusted advisor and consultative selling frameworks throughout — positioning every arborist as the expert advisor their clients deserve, rather than a vendor competing on price.
This is not a program about closing techniques or overcoming objections through pressure. It's a program about using expertise to lead — which is what the best arborists already do naturally, and what this training makes consistent and repeatable.
Built for the People Who Actually Do the Selling.
FOR FIELD ARBORISTS
You already know the trees. This program teaches you to structure what you see into conversations that convert — without feeling like a salesperson.
You'll learn how to run a diagnostic walkthrough that clients actually understand, how to translate arboricultural findings into language that motivates action, and how to close on the same visit without pressure.
FOR COMPANY OWNERS & SALES REPS
You're building or managing a sales team that needs to perform consistently — across residential, HOA, and commercial accounts.
This program gives your team a shared language, a repeatable process, and the specific skills they're missing: closing, upselling, objection handling, and follow-up. All 22 modules stand alone, so you can target exactly the gaps that matter most.

What to Expect After Completing the Program
These are the specific, measurable outcomes this program is designed to produce — based on the documented results of the frameworks it draws from, applied to the tree care environment.
• Higher first-visit close rates — the residential one-call close module is designed to move same-visit close rates above 60% for qualified leads
• More scope per visit — the property scan framework in Module 3 is designed to surface 2–3 additional findings per site visit that clients genuinely need addressed
• Fewer discounts — arborists trained in value-based objection handling discount less, and when they do adjust scope they reduce work rather than reduce price
• PHC program enrollment — companies that train on consultative PHC selling consistently achieve enrollment rates above 40% on qualifying residential sites
• Better follow-up conversion — the structured follow-up cadence in Module 10 is designed to improve conversion on sent-but-unsigned proposals by 15% or more
• HOA and commercial growth — Modules 13 and 14 give sales reps a complete playbook for the two highest-value and most loyal client types in tree care
Your Questions, Answered
How much tree care experience does someone need?
This program assumes learners can walk a property and make basic arboricultural observations. It builds sales skills on top of existing tree knowledge — it does not teach arboriculture. ISA-certified arborists and experienced crew leads will get the most from it.
How long does it take to complete the program?
The full 22 modules total approximately 9–10 hours of video. Most learners complete the program over 3–4 weeks, working through one or two modules per week. Individual modules can be done in a single sitting.
How is the course delivered, and how long do I have access?
ArboTHRIVE! is a self-paced online video course. Once you enroll, you get immediate access to all 22 modules through your account at ThriveGreenAcademy.com — watch them on your phone, tablet, or computer, anytime, as many times as you want. There are no live sessions to attend and no schedule to keep up with. Individual and corporate licenses include lifetime access, so you can go through a module before a big proposal, revisit it a year later, or bring a new hire up to speed whenever you need to. Founding members keep their access and their locked-in price permanently.
Do I need to watch the modules in order?
No. Every module is fully self-contained and works on its own. You can start wherever your biggest skill gap is, assign specific modules to specific team members, or work through the full program in any sequence.
Is this relevant for residential selling, commercial, or both?
All three. Modules are tagged by client type — residential, HOA/property management, and commercial. The core framework applies everywhere, with dedicated modules for each selling environment.
What's the difference between the individual and team license?
The individual license covers one person. Team licenses cover up to 3, 5, or 10 people, depending on the plan you choose — everyone gets their own login and full access to all 22 modules plus the bonus front-desk training.
Here's how team setup works: your purchase includes one primary login. After you sign up, just email molly@thrivegreenacademy.com with your team members' names and email addresses, and we'll set up their individual logins within one business day. Every team license also includes the downloadable Coaching Guides, which are built to run role-plays and training sessions with your whole crew.
For teams of 3 or more, a team license is almost always the better value.
Do the sales techniques actually work if I'm not a natural salesperson?
Yes — and that's exactly who this course was built for. ArboTHRIVE! isn't about becoming a slick, high-pressure closer. It's the opposite. The entire method is built on the diagnostic walkthrough: you use the tree knowledge you already have to guide an honest conversation, and the sale follows naturally from that. If you can walk a property and tell a homeowner what you're seeing, you already have the hardest part. The course gives you the structure and the language for the rest. Many of the most effective arborists using this approach describe themselves as reserved or technical, not "sales types." The method works because it's rooted in expertise and trust, not personality.

Meet the Founder
Molly Pikarsky, ISA TX4988A, TMCNP
I didn't start in a classroom. I started in the dirt.
My career in the green industry began in tissue culture and greenhouse production — the science of how plants actually live, grow, and fail. From there I moved through nearly every seat in this industry: Head Grower, Project Designer, General Manager, Division Director. I ran commercial landscape operations. I managed government contracts. I built business development from the ground up at some of Texas's most respected horticulture and landscape companies.
Somewhere along the way I became an ISA Certified Arborist and a Plant Health Care Specialist. But the letters after my name aren't the point. The point is that I have stood where you stand — on a client's property, looking up at a tree, knowing exactly what it needs and wondering how on earth to explain it in a way that lands.
Here's what I noticed after all those years.
The arborists I worked alongside were brilliant. They could read a canopy in thirty seconds. They knew soil, structure, disease, and risk better than anyone. And then they'd walk up to a homeowner, quote the one thing that was asked for, and drive away — leaving the real work, and real money, sitting in the tree behind them.
Not because they were bad at their jobs. Because nobody ever taught them that their expertise was the sale. That the diagnosis is the pitch. That you don't have to become a slick salesperson — you just have to learn how to let people see what you already see.
I watched it happen over and over. Good people, extraordinary skill, undervalued and underpaid, competing on price against companies that knew less and charged less.
It bothered me for years. Eventually it bothered me enough to do something about it.
THRIVE Green Academy is the program I wished existed when I was building my own practice in the field.
It's sales training built for arborists, by an arborist. Every module is grounded in the work you actually do — the walkthrough, the diagnosis, the PHC conversation, the price objection, the storm call, the HOA board. Nothing generic. Nothing borrowed from software sales or car lots. Just the real thing, taught by someone who has spent a career doing exactly what she's teaching.
Because the work you do matters. Trees are living infrastructure — they protect homes, cool cities, raise property values, and outlive the people who plant them. The people who care for them deserve to be taken seriously, valued for their expertise, and paid what that expertise is worth.
That's what this is really about. Not just selling more. Being valued for what you already know.
I'm not here just to teach a sales course. I'm here to give arborists the tools to be taken seriously — because the work you do deserves to be valued at what it's actually worth.
If you've ever driven away from a job knowing you left something in the tree, this is for you.
Let's fix that together.
